Barsana a boutique hotel in Kolkatta, had to be unique and reminiscent of its rich location. This 7-story building includes 45 guestrooms, a restaurant, an event and conference space. The building owing to its confined surroundings and size limitations, manages to create a strong presence in the area with its bold façade dressed with the rawness of stone.

Upon entering one is met with a scheme of warm colours, giving a sedate feel. Art inspired by local elements of Kolkatta plays an important role in threading spaces together, which following the scheme are silent with just a splash of colour.

Specific, accent colours have been used in each room to add the much-needed spark. Corridor on each level has a unique identity owing to a changing colour scheme. The quirky colours, the pattern, the mirrored ceiling in the banquet-are all representative of the festivity of the inherent culture.
